Chess Board Dimensions: 20.5” x 20.5”. Board Square Size: 2.2”. Chess King Size: 4.5”. King Base Width: 1.9”.
What the heck is the king base width? It is the diameter of the base of the king (the bottom of the king piece). This measurement is important when selecting the right chess board square size for the chess pieces that will be playing on it.

The chess set wood explained:
Ebony wood defined: Species of ebony are from India, western Africa and Indonesia and is prized for its luxuriant, multi-colored wood grain.
Burl wood defined: Burls result in a uniquely patterned wood, which is highly prized for its beauty. It is valued and sought after by artists, furniture makers and sculptors.
Why double queens?
To be used for pawn promotion which is a chess rule that requires if your pawn reaches its eighth rank (the pawn reaching the other side of the chess board) it must be immediately replaced by the player's choice of a queen, knight, rook, or bishop of the same color (in this case a queen) .
The new piece replaces the pawn on the same square, as part of the same move.
