Horseshoes

Executive Deluxe Horseshoe Set

There are many games that you can play on a picnic, at the park, or on a camping trip, and two of them that are often played and have been for decades are horseshoes and cornhole bean toss. Both games require tossing so judging distance is an important aspect of both games, of course horseshoes have a pit while the bean bag toss games have a board with holes cut in it.

If you have played horseshoes, it is played in a pit, usually of sand, with two metal stakes that are placed anywhere from 20 to 40 feet apart, usually depending on the age of the people who are playing. Obviously, the primary difference between horseshoes versus cornhole bean toss is the weight of the horseshoe. Horseshoes are heavy, metal objects and tossing them can be a challenge, even for an adult, unless they are plastic shoes.
