The different chess board square size
This page has the chess boards as they relate to squares sizes ranging from 1.25” up to 2.5”.
There may not be a board available at the time in inventory so a page may be empty but is sure to be replaced as inventory is filled.
If you are selecting a chess board by its square size it can probably be assumed that you already have the chess pieces.
If so the way to determine what size squares you will need can be accomplished by using this formula:
Your kings base diameter (bottom of king) should range 68% - 75% of the square size on your new board.
Example: Your kings base diameter is approximately 1.5” – 1.6” then your squares should be 2.25”.
If you have the board and need new chessmen then reverse this process.
